The Journal was first published in November 2011 and is now published three times a year. The Journal provides articles on topical issues and important cases.

The Journal is distributed free to Institute individual members and organisational members.

The LINK (Licensing, Information, Knowledge & News) magazine was introduced in October 2018 and is now published three - four times a year, LINK provides articles on topical issues and updates on projects that the IoL are involved in.

The LINK magazine is distributed free to Institute members and also widely distributed to a number of other trade organisations and operators.
