The Department for Communities has updated its website regarding the expected commencement dates of the remaining changes that the Licensing and Registration of Clubs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2021 makes to liquor licensing laws in Northern Ireland.
The Licensing and Regulation of Clubs (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2021 makes changes to the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 and the Registration of Clubs (Northern Ireland) Order 1996. Not all changes were commenced at the same time. A guide to the Phase 1 changes that came in on 1 October 2021 is available.
Detail of the remaining changes along with indicative dates has been published. Phase 2 is scheduled to come into effect in April 2022.
