The Institute of Licensing (IoL) and Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) are surveying members to gather views about the current regulation of cosmetic treatments and how this could be improved for better public protection.
A new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Beauty, Wellbeing and Aesthetics is launching an inquiry into the current regulation of cosmetic treatments in October, and the survey results will be presented to the APPG to assist the inquiry from the outset.
This survey is being jointly conducted by the IoL and CIEH with views sought from licensing and environmental health professionals in England only (the regulation of cosmetic treatments is a devolved matter).
The survey seeks information in relation to:
• The legislation you use to regulate cosmetic treatments
• Your views on the effectiveness of the current regulatory regime
• Your suggestions for how the regulations could be improved
