NR3 is gaining traction with licensing authorities in England, with almost 50,000 searches completed over the past six months.
In its latest newsletter, the National Anti Fraud Network (NAFN) said:
"97% of all licensing authorities in England are now registered, and use of the database is growing daily."
The new Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle (Safeguarding and Road Safety) Act 2022 was enacted on the 31st March, and came into effect on the 31st May 2022. The 2022 Act introduced a requirement for licensing authorities to share information through a national register, likely to be NR3, will be mandated once commenced via legislation in the coming months.
NAFN also confirmed that it is working on digitising its NR3 Digital Seminar so that it can be accessed anytime. This will be available from the beginning of July it confirmed.
