The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) has launched its refreshed 2025 strategy. DBS committed to refreshing its strategy halfway through its term to recognise that the organisation is in a very different place to 2020.
The refreshed strategy, which can be found here, details several actions that will be taken across the next 2 years to make tangible improvements to its public services.
DBS is on track to deliver over 90% of the deliverables within the original strategy, and its Business Plan 2023/24 focuses on the actions it will take over the next year to continue to deliver year 4 of its 5-year strategy.
Eric Robinson, Chief Executive for the Disclosure and Barring Service, said: “Our work provides significant protection to the public by helping employers make safer recruitment and employment decisions. After significant improvements to our services over the last 3 years, delivery of this refreshed strategy will continue our improvements in quality, technology and value for money.”
