Daniel Davies’ term as chairman of the IoL has been extended for a further 3 years.
The Institute of Licensing (IoL), the professional body for licensing professionals, has extended Daniel Davies’ term as chairman. Following a Board meeting on Thursday 2nd March 2023, IoL Directors re-elected Davies as National Chair for a further term until the first Board meeting of 2026.
Under Dan's leadership, the IoL continues to engage with all parties including through regular engagement in many industry led forums and events, alongside supporting various stakeholder groups including the National Licensing Forum, the newly established National Taxi and Private Hire Licensing Working Group, and the Local Alcohol Partnerships Group. Training and events continue to develop, and it was Dan who first established the IoL's LINK magazine which complements the IoL’s professional Journal of Licensing. Both publications are provided free for IoL members and made available to all online.
Vice Chairman Gary Grant said:
“Dan Davies has been an extraordinary force pushing forward the Institute’s mission to promote excellence in licensing and serve as an umbrella organisation for regulators and the trade. The Board look forward to working with Dan over the next 3 years to build on the Institute’s achievements under his Chairmanship”
