The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 came into force at 11am today and corrects errors in the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 (S.I. 2020/350).
Changes to Regulation 6(1) now mean that it is prohibited to be outside of your home without a reasonable excuse, even if you left your home with one. The Regulation as amended is (emphasis added):
6.—(1) During the emergency period, no person may leave or be outside of the place where they are living without reasonable excuse.
A further amendment to Regulation 6 (2) now allows a person to leave (or be outside of) their home to to visit a burial ground or garden of remembrance, to pay respects to a member of the person’s household, a family member or friend.
