The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has published a new format for the schedule of horses kept in an establishment used for the Hiring of Horses.
In correspondence seen by the IoL, the RCVS wrote:
The RCVS Riding Establishment Committee have been working on a new format for the schedule of horses kept in an establishment used for the Hiring of Horses.
It is hoped going forwards that this form is adopted by all concerned parties, the operator, the local authority and the veterinary inspector.
It is based on a spreadsheet which it is hope will be used by the establishments to keep their list of horses up to date and can be emailed to their Local authorities prior to an inspection or when the list of horses is changed, along with the veterinary certificate.
This should in theory reduce the admin for LA’s as they can lift the required information from the spreadsheet and place it on the licence.
The new form can be found at the following link and downloaded – The RCVS are circulating it to all their vets.
