Sunderland City Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Senior Licensing Officer to assist in the promotion and safeguarding of public safety through the operation of an effective and efficient licensing and regulatory regime.
The successful applicant will have a proactive attitude, demonstrate experience in enforcing legislation and handling criminal evidence and possess a sound knowledge and understanding of local authority licensing functions. They will assist in the drive to improve our customer services including the digitalisation of processes for hackney carriage and private hire licensing. The post holder will also provide a significant contribution in the review and implementation of policy documents.
The post holder will also proactively engage with businesses, trade representatives, licence holders and applicants along with other partner agencies involved in the regulation of licensable activities.
