Lichfield is a vibrant and historic city and district located in the heart of Staffordshire just north of Birmingham. It is a popular tourist destination and hosts numerous popular public events throughout the year.

We are looking for a committed Senior Licensing Officer to be responsible for the day-to-day effective operation of the Licensing team, involving the supervision of 3 team members and making best use of the team resources.

You will provide professional and expert advice and guidance to applicants, including partners, LDC colleagues and elected members and will ensure the service is operated efficiently, in line with legal requirements.

You will be responsible for assessing and processing complex applications, as well as preparing and presenting reports to the Regulatory and Licensing Committee.

You will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience and extensive knowledge and understanding of all licensing legislation administered by the team and the statutory duties which apply to the District Council. We are also looking for someone with a commitment to continuous improvement and a positive attitude and flexible approach.
