Sevenoaks District Council’s Licensing Partnership is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work in a developing Central Processing Hub Team, responsible for processing applications on behalf of four Licensing Authorities and providing administrative support
We are looking to appoint a full-time, permanent Licensing Technician, knowledge of licensing is not essential but highly beneficial.
The Role
The main duties will include processing applications for taxi licensing (drivers and vehicles), temporary event notices, other routine licence applications, answering phones and handling mail (mostly electronic). Due to the various licensing regimes we cover there is a lot to absorb, and Members of the Licensing Hub Team are expected to process high volumes of work, hit internal performance targets and deliver a high standard of accuracy when using our Licensing database (Idox Uniform), whilst balancing an equally high volume of telephone queries where concise, informative advice is given.
The successful candidate should have the ability to learn and retain information quickly, be an excellent communicator and someone willing to bring fresh ideas and help drive the success of the Partnership. This position may suit an applicant who has experience working within an environment similar to a busy call centre or other Local Government Partnership.
