Licensing Support Officer - Nottingham City Council Closing Date: 18/08/2023

About the Role

As a Licensing Support Officer your day to day tasks will include, planning and managing a reactive busy workload of processing applications made for taxi driver licences, vehicle licensing and regulatory licences and permits to include skin piercing, free printed material, small society lotteries and many other application types. 

You will be required to follow procedures in respect of the applications made, take payments, enter details into a computer system and create and issue licences and permits working within a legislative framework.

There are currently 3 vacancies within the Licensing Team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic maths and English 
  • Ability to use Information Technology including Microsoft Packages including outlook and word 
  • Ability to plan and manage a reactive workload 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment using your own initiative to prioritise your workload on a daily basis 

This post is covered by the statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) (English Language Requirement for public sector workers) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English, is an essential requirement for the role.
