South Derbyshire District Council is expanding their Licensing Team and seeking to recruit an experienced, committed and enthusiastic individual for the position of Licensing Officer (Enforcement). The postholder will form an integral part of a small and committed licensing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the compliance and enforcement of the wide range of licensing work the licensing team handles including Licensing Act 2003, Animal Licensing, Private Hire Licensing, Gambling Act 2005, Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 and other areas of licensing.
You will assist businesses, have experience of dealing with a wide range of organisations, write reports, attend committee hearings when appropriate and make visits to premises to ensure compliance. Candidates should have a minimum of three years licensing experience.
The post involves as part of the normal working week occasional night-time, weekend, and Bank Holiday work.
A full driving licence is essential. Essential car allowance is payable.
