About the role…
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Licensing Officer to join our busy and award winning licensing team. You will be one of 5 posts reporting to the Licensing Team Leader providing quality advice and service to all licensing customers and stakeholders.
Your main duties will be the implementation, administration and enforcement of a wide range of licensing legislation. You will carry out risk based inspections on all licensed venues and vehicles, to prepare and present reports to the Licensing Team Leader and various licensing committees and attend court as necessary. The role will involve routinely work outside normal office hours.
To be successful you will need…
• Good standard of education and/or ability to learn quickly and effectively
• Ability to interpret and implement licensing policy rules and procedures and new systems
• Experience of working with the public.
• Experience of managing and prioritising a varied workload.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of the role of local government and its obligations to its customers.
