Job description
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable person to join our busy Licensing team.
The successful candidate will deal with enforcement matters relating to a number of different licensing functions from alcohol to gambling, taxis to animal welfare, scrap metal dealers and regulated entertainment.
The successful applicant should have knowledge of local authority licensing and legislation. In particular you must have experience of enforcement, preparation of reports for Licensing Committees and the Magistrates Court and be able to respond to enquiries from the public and our existing or future licence holders.
You must have excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with confrontation. Good computer literacy skills and experience of maintaining accurate and detailed records within computerised databases
As a member of a team, you will contribute to the delivery of the licensing enforcement programme and respond to complaints and other requests for services outside of normal working hours, this will require you to undertake occasional work at unsocial times including evenings and weekends.
The ability to maintain accuracy, even when working under pressure is essential.
The intention is for the postholder to work from home and the office 50/50. The successful candidate be available to attend meetings at our offices in (Royal Leamington Spa) when required.
