We are looking for an experienced and dedicated licensing professional to join our busy licensing team here at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.
This role will involve the enforcement of the full range of licensing legislation including the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and legislation regulating the licensing of hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators.
You will deal with licence applications, conduct compliance checks and inspections, and carry out operations to enforce the legislation as required, including outside of normal office hours.
You will also carry out joint operations with other service units of the Council and/or external enforcement agencies such as Thames Valley Police.
You will investigate alleged offences under the legislation up to and including preparing prosecution reports and giving evidence in court. You will also prepare and present reports at licensing hearings.
You will need excellent communication skills, be a team player able to work with a range of partners and be able to plan and carry out your own workload.
