The role
An opportunity has arisen for a Licensing Compliance Officer to join the General Licensing team at Oxford City Council.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out licensing compliance inspections in a timely and effective manner, processing submissions within the legal timelines, attend hearings and developing sustainable and long-term working relationships as part of a committed, forward-thinking team.
In order to deliver the objectives of the Licensing Authority to uphold the needs of local businesses and communities and to promote Oxford as a world-class city offering a safe, modern and vibrant licensed trade, you will be self-motivated, adaptable and flexible in your approach to work. In addition, as you will work with a wide range of stakeholders including, customers, partners, elected members and licence holders, you will be an effective communicator and possess strong negotiation and influencing skills.
