The Service & Team:
The Licensing Compliance team oversees pre-application advice, inspections, complaints, and enforcement of licensing legislation. We protect public safety through our regulatory activity, and we work to uphold the integrity of the licensing system by enforcing against unlicensed operators.
The Role:
As lead practitioner within of the Licensing Compliance team, your role will involve taking a role with taxi and premises licence case work (as well as other licence types) to provide extra capacity to the team, but will also add to the leadership of the team by providing support to licence compliance officers where required and ensuring the statutory functions within the service are fulfilled.
Embedding and upholding good customer service standards for both internal and external customers is a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also be contributing to team improvements by helping to create and implement procedures and policies to enhance service delivery.
You will play a part in developing a culture of high team performance and you will work to improve the resilience of the team, helping to ensure the team can meet service demand.

Whilst this position is a full time opportunity we do not discourage applicants who wish to work part time or flexibly. Candidates should however be aware that we are addressing capacity issues with this position so our preference is that the successful candidate will work at least an equivalent of 4 days a week. Work location is negotiable and the requirement to work from an office is subject the our team charter (which is currently under review).
