You will be responsible for processing a variety of licence applications including alcohol and entertainment, gambling and special treatment premises. You will investigate complaints regarding licensed and unlicensed premises, give advice and take enforcement actions including giving evidence in court to obtain compliance. Your knowledge of licensing legislation and enforcement will be an asset in this role protecting public safety and preventing nuisances through the licensing process.

With a background in licensing processing or enforcement you will have worked in an environment, community safety or regulatory role. Your experience of processing licences and court proceedings is essential, along with extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005. You will demonstrate highly effective communication skills, both in person and in writing, and be able to meet deadlines while dealing with changing priorities.
This is a permanent full-time position
Standard 36 hours a week, Monday - Friday
A basic DBS check will be required
