We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly. We work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.

We have a fantastic opportunity for three Compliance Managers to join our Compliance Team. The team works to ensure that gambling operators understand and adhere to the requirements set out within the Gambling Act, and our licence conditions and codes of practice. The role is operational and will focus on checking adherence to and promotion of the 3 licensing objectives by: assessing licensees, investigating complaints, and raising standards through licensee education.

Your Role

As a Compliance Manager, you will:

- Test the regulatory compliance of the gambling operators that we licence.

- Conduct in depth assessments of online and land-based businesses.

- Provide clear written and verbal feedback in relation to assessment findings.

- Assess the implementation of licensees’ responses.

- Present and explain key guidance, Commission policy and assessment findings to licensees individually and in group sessions.

- Support regulatory investigations.

- Advising local authorities in relation to licensing requirements around gambling.

- Acting as a single point of contact for licensees.

You will not have line management responsibilities but will be expected to manage assessment and project work.

About You

- Experience of and/or the skills to conduct assessments, audit work or compliance reviews.

- Experience of and/or the skills to write complex reports within tight deadlines.

- The ability to be adaptable and comfortable with change and the drive for continual improvement.

- Excellent interviewing and auditing skills and be capable of prioritising a busy workload.

- Excellent letter writing and communication skills.

- Experience of and/or the skills to work at pace with a high level of attention to detail.

- Experience of and/or the skills to deal with individuals appropriately and professionally whether they are shop floor workers or the CEO of a large corporation.

- Willingness to travel.

Experience/knowledge of the principles of capturing evidence for regulatory investigations and understanding of online gambling products would be desirable.
